Sdn Bhd companies must file an Annual Return every year within 30 days of their registration anniversary, while sole proprietorships and partnerships renew every 1 or 5 years depending on the original registration choice.
SSM can impose a compound of up to RM50,000 under the Companies Act 2016 for failing to file the Annual Return, with the added risk of the company being struck off.
