Company Secretary Services in Malaysia
Every Sdn Bhd incorporated in Malaysia must appoint at least one qualified company secretary — often shortened to “cosec” — within 30 days of incorporation, under Sections 235 and 236 of the Companies Act 2016, and notify Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) of the appointment. A company secretary must hold a valid practising certificate issued by SSM, or be a member of a recognised professional body such as MAICSA, and must ordinarily reside in Malaysia.
SASCO provides company secretary services for Sdn Bhd companies across Malaysia — from first-time incorporation to transferring your existing company secretary over to us.

What Does a Company Secretary (Cosec) Actually Do?
- Advises the board of directors on governance and procedure
- Acts as the compliance officer responsible for meeting Companies Act 2016 requirements
- Keeps custody of the company’s statutory registers and records
- Acts as the point of contact between shareholders, the board of directors, and SSM
